Sure! Keep in mind that each client will have a different set of circumstances and, therefore, specific questions that are important for their case. But in general, these are the types of things we would ask if we were in your position:
- What are the steps involved in going through this process?
- Are there any assessments like language tests or educational assessments that I will need to undertake?
- How long does it take for these results and what is the cost?
- How long is the processing time for this program?
- Is my approval certain because I am eligible, or does the officer have discretion to make the decision based on their opinion of my application?
- What are my realistic chances for success?
- Do you see any red flags on my case that might cause problems or delays with the application? What are they?
- How many of these types of applications have you handled to date? What is your approval rate?
- What will my total costs be from start to finish if I undertake this process? Include all professional fees, government fees and costs to obtain needed items like a medical exam, etc.
