BC PNP official announcement

Effective November 16, 2023, 25 construction occupations will be prioritized through the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). This prioritization supports the Province’s Homes for People action plan, which aims to meet British Columbia’s demand for residential housing and infrastructure over the next five years.

To meet this challenge, targeted invitations to apply will be issued to workers in select construction occupations who also have a valid B.C. trades qualification. This requirement will ensure that construction workers nominated by the BC PNP are ready to contribute immediately to B.C.’s labour market.

Valid B.C. trades qualifications include a trades certificate issued by SkilledTradesBC or an apprenticeship registered with SkilledTradesBC.
